Lancefield District

Essential Communications Services was tasked to provide Telstra Mobile Voice coverage to a premises in the Lancefield area, less than 10km from the local tower, but, due to the location of the home and the fact there is a hill between the tower and the house, coverage was non existent.

To ensure reliable, stable Telstra mobile voice within the premises Essential Communications Services needed to mount a 3 metre galvanized roof mounted mast to the roof of the premises. This was a challenging installation due to the steep pitch of the roof. The antenna also had to be 10m AGL to have even a small chance of signal.

Atop the mast we have installed an RFI 15dBi Dual Band NextG+4GX Antenna. Due to the fact that the position of the house meant that all mobile towers within the area were obstructed by terrain, we have had to point the antenna towards another hill to receive reflected signal. As reflected signal is lower in power at best, LDF4-50A Coaxial Cable was used to bring the signal down to the Nextivity Telstra Cel-fi Go.

This was then cabled to and signal distributed throughout the house and outside Gazebo via two Telco Omni Directional Ceiling Mount Antenna.

As ever, we are grateful to our wonderful suppliers Telco Antennas for the supply of this equipment.
