Murra Warra Wind Farm Construction

Prior to the current operator taking over this particular Wind Farm, the starting construction company had need of both 4GX Mobile Broadband and stable 3G (NextG) Mobile Voice coverage to assist them with the first phase of construction.

Essential Communications Services was contracted to install a fully functioning 4GX Mobile Broadband Data serviceĀ at the site to enable the telemetry monitoring services to be installed as required to run the wind farm at its optimum capacity.

As this site was just starting construction at this time, staff were on site to both monitor the already functioning areas, being the high tension power lines coming into the site, Ā as well as construct the next phase of the build. As such they were also in need of stable NextG Mobile Voice service.

The infrustructure used is secured to a 3m galvanized mast that is secured to the roof of the building using slotted channel and a galvanized bracket. On this mast is a Telco XPOL 700-2700 3G+4G+4GX Panel antenna and a RFI NextG+4GX 15dBi Yagi Antenna 700-850MHz both of which areĀ cabled down using LCU400 Coaxial Cable to the Nextivity Cel-fi Go as well as the Telco T1 modem.

This infrastructure gave the on-site staff the ability to communicate with their head office in Melbourne instantaneously,Ā as well as head office being able to see, in real time, the power output of each individual wind turbineĀ as it came onlineĀ and be able to control the individual turbines from the control room at their MelbourneĀ head office.

All the communications & telecommunications infrastructure for this installation was supplied by our ever wonderful suppliers Telco Antennas.

If you have a communications & telecommunications infrastructure challenge please do not hesitate to get in touchĀ with Essential Communications Services, it would be our pleasure to be of assistance to you anywhere in Australia.
