South East Melbourne Telstra 5G Mobile Voice

With the changes occurring in the mobile voice arena, going from the old 3G voice system to the new technology 5G, many areas have noticed a distinct lack of coverage without external assistance.

The very outer suburbs of south east Melbourne is one such area where, due to the smaller footprint of 5G carrier wave length compared to the larger spread of 3G, the mobile voice signal has dropped off significantly.

This client contacted us not long after the shutdown of 3G services in their area and asked what we could do to assist them in accessing the new 5G services.

They also had a Gen2 Starlink service that they wanted to upgrade to the new Gen3 (V4) service.

Essential Communications Services designed a system utilising the Nextivity Cel-Fi G51 Mobile Voice Repeater unit with the RFI Wide-band High Gain Mesh Parabolic Antenna (700-3800MHz), with two ZCG Omni-directional DAS Ceiling Antennas to distribute the signal to two separate areas of the dwelling. These DAS units are slim line and truly fade into the ceiling.

Once completed, the installation improved both 4G and 5G services within the home. Previously the client and their family had to go outside to make or receive calls. They can now confidently receive calls anywhere within their home without having to move from their seat.

If you have a communications & telecommunications infrastructure challenge please do not hesitate to get in touch with Essential Communications Services, it would be our pleasure to be of assistance to you anywhere in Australia.
