With everything that’s been happening in the world over the last five years, and especially here in Victoria, many people moved out of the city for a quieter life in the country.
For this installation, Essential Communications Services revisited an existing client that moved from city to country back in 2021. They had, at that time, had us install a Telstra Nextivity Cel-fi GO 31 unit, using an external RFI 15dBi Dual Band Yagi Antenna to receive the signal, to their new premises for mobile telephone with a GEN 1 Starlink for their internet.
This system worked perfectly for them until the changes in the Telstra network with the shut down of the 3G service.
Due to this, their existing Nextivity Cel-fi GO ceased working as it could no longer receive 3G signals and the 4G signal from the tower that the antenna was pointing towards was not strong enough.
Our technician visited site to see whether there was any way to update or upgrade the firmware of the Cel-fi but it had fully shut down. At that time, he suggested that, since we needed to re-install the antenna to point towards another tower in the area, an upgrade to a Nextivity Cel-fi G41 repeater would be advisable.
The client also decided that they would like to upgrade their Starlink internet to the newest dish and router to access better speeds and reliability with the newer technology.

Once this installation was completed, full 4G voice (VoLTE) was available throughout their home, and with the installation of a TP-Link EAP653 AX3000 Ceiling Mount WiFi 6 Access Point, the Starlink internet service was saturating the home with fast internet.
The client was wrapped that they could now use their phones and devices throughout the home, without having to step out to make or receive calls.
